Full Stack Web Developer

TheYachtMarket.com is seeking a Full Stack Web Developer with excellent programming skills to join our company’s web development team and assist with the company’s internal IT function.

This is a superb opportunity to join a world-renowned online marketplace company where you will put your wide range of web and management skills into practice.

The successful candidate should:

  • Have a degree or similar qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or in a related field.
  • Have sound experience as a web developer using .NET web technology (C#/Core MVC), Razor and Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Be an expert in HTML, JavaScript, responsive CSS and XML/JSON.
  • Have detailed knowledge of IT and data security principles.
  • Be knowledgeable about search engine optimisation techniques.
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Be able to demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills and be a creative thinker.
  • Have excellent organisational skills, be highly accurate with a keen eye for detail.

Advantageous attributes for the role:

  • Knowledge of VB.NET.
  • Experience in developing websites in Umbraco CMS.
  • Experience in digital marketing platforms.
  • Knowledge of IT networking.
  • Experience in compliance with data protection legislation and Payment Card Industry (PCI) security standards.
  • Experience in building and optimising a marketplace website.
  • Knowledge of Continuous Integration / Continuous Development methodologies.
  • Experience with Jira.
  • Knowledge of RESTful APIs.

Account Manager (Sales)

  • Job Title: Account Manager
  • Salary: £20-£25k basic + uncapped commission
  • Location: Southampton City Centre, SO17 (office based)
  • Hours: Full time (Mon-Fri, 37.5 hours per week)

We are growing our sales team and are looking for individuals with experience in telesales and account management who are looking for a new challenge.

Our goal is to provide excellent customer service to our clients, so we need someone who has the confidence and skills to relate to our clients' advertising/promotional needs. We sell advertising to help our customers – yacht brokers and other marine professionals – sell their boats, products, and services.

Essential skills & experience

  • At least one year of sales experience with a proven track record
  • Have a great telephone manner and ability to generate sales over the phone
  • The ability to thrive from working in a target-driven sales role
  • Be able to generate new business from cold calling to meet targets
  • Be able to grow relationships with existing clients
  • Be self-motivated with drive and a thorough, disciplined approach to sales
  • Be flexible and resilient when challenged with objections
  • Enjoy working in a team environment

  • Knowledge of the marine industry 
  • European language skills
  • Experience selling online advertising
