4) CONSTRUCTION

4.1 Manufacturing process

Three-part mould with joint surfaces at the keel connections.

Nacelle mould and inner half-hulls in one part for greater rigidity.

As for many years, the hull is made of Sandwich foam infusion, Vinylester resin

and polyester resin. It is reinforced with Monolithics, Aramid fibre reinforcements using the Twaron Impact process and, above all, in order to optimise weight, certain parts of the hull have been designed to be more rigid.

In order to optimise weight, certain zones are now 100% Carbon, such as the chainplate zones,

omega stiffeners and the mast step area.

The deck is also constructed from Sandwich foam infusion with CP/Monolithic Sandwich reinforcements.

4.2 Integral structure

The hull / deck / bulkhead connections are made by bonding and structural cornering locally in 100% carbon fibre, as for the bulkheads.
