INTERIOR & ACCOMMODATION

Entering below decks from the cockpit's wide hatch you are instantly met by classic class. The craftsmanship that went into building these timeless craft is long lost. Beautiful steam shaped overhead deck beams, picked out by the white deck head in between. The hull ribs are visible in places and varnished, adding to her classic look, hand built furniture and quirky elements from a knowledgeable eye makes for a lot of character and practicality. Although you kind of sink into it's old worldly comfort you cant help but notice the light and airy feel created by the white deck head, coachroof sides and 6 large coachroof portlights.

From forward to aft -

The forepeak is a storage area.. There is a large wooden framed deck hatch to bring in light and ventilation. Centrally is a marine toilet hidden in a hinged top wooden box. Port side is a door fronted locker and to starboard is a shaped trotter box with a shelf locker above.

Centrally, two single settee berths face each other. At the foot of the port berth is a chart table. The port side berth has a fold away chart table.

Aft to port is the cooking area shut off from the port berth by a full height bulkhead. There is a a spirit stove with two drawers and a locker underneath. To starboard is full height bulkhead forming a storage area between it and the galley sink with locker underneath.

The designer - Bruno Veronese

Bruno Veronese’s design career started in the late 1940s in Genoa and his quite prolific output yielded some 30 yachts built to his designs including the Classics: COPPELIA, TYRSA, EURYDICE, VALLEY III and PANDORA; all notable for both their elegance and the strength of their design in construction. Benefitting also from the ideas of other designers, some influence of Jack Laurent Giles can be seen in respect of another boat Resolution II.

Bruno Veronese, under the pseudonym Capitano Black, wrote “Yachting” the first comprehensive manual for yachtsmen by an Italian author. Having written numerous articles also for the major yachting magazines, his final treatise “Yacht Progetto e Costruzione”, was published posthumously in 1991.
