Moody 41 DS – 2021 - Attractively priced at £475,000 - UK VAT paid

This Moody 41 Deck Saloon has barely been used since delivered to its sole owner in 2022 and it presents as well as a new yacht!

“The Moody 41 DS offers an amazingly roomy accommodation space with a palatial owner's suite forward, a spacious guest cabin, plus of course the Deck Saloon's unique feature of a full 360-degree panoramic view from inside.

The cosy U-shaped sofa area with a large, electrically height adjustable, saloon table and the linear galley opposite creates a spacious ambience in the living area and a direct step-free ‘one-level’ access to the cockpit seating area.

The interior of the DS41 exudes modern, warm minimalism and offers a generous amount of space everywhere with cleverly integrated stowage spaces throughout the boat.

With an easily managed yet powerful sail plan to make passage making fast and effortless, helped by electric winches and an electric genoa furler.”

Accommodation

One of the most striking features of the Moody DS41 is the flush, step-free transition between cockpit and saloon. Thanks to the large sliding glass door, one simply walks inside with step-free access from the cockpit – this ‘One level living’ concept is a rare feature on a yacht of this size.

The saloon features the galley, seating area, and navigation station, all bathed in natural light from the large panoramic windows. At the galley, a floor hatch leads to a spacious under deck utility and storage area with ample storage. Moving forward, there is a guest cabin to starboard, and at the bow, the owner’s cabin with a large double berth, generous storage, and en-suite access to the head and shower.

Several large storage spaces, both below deck and on deck, make the boat well suited for extended time aboard.

Forward ‘Owners’ Cabin:

Large island double berth with padded headboard and storage drawer under, large 3 door tall hanging and shelved locker area to port, 1 door having a full-length mirror. Further tall shelved locker to starboard. Large overhead skylight with a large opening section/deck hatch and dual sliding blinds/insect screens, further fixed hull ports and coach roof opening portlights giving excellent light and ventilation levels to this owner’s suite.

Dual lighting controller with floor shadow lighting and individual white/red reading lights

En-suite access to the forward heads & shower compartment.

Heads:

Large heads compartment with a separate shower & toilet area behind a Plexiglas screen door.

Basin with monobloc faucet, storage drawers under and cupboards behind. Jabsco electrically flushed marine toilet. Holding tank with level indicator. Teak slatted flooring to shower area.

Doors to both forward cabin and guest cabin.

Guest Cabin:

Twin guest cabin to starboard with infill to create a large double berth. Tall hanging and shelved locker to starboard. Fixed hull ports with blinds and opening opaque glazed hatch to side deck giving excellent light and ventilation levels.

Floor level shadow lighting, with individual white/red reading lights at upper levels.

Doors to lobby area and en-suite access to the forward heads & shower compartment.

Storage area:

Large walk-in storage area to port, in some versions this could be a second heads compartment, on this boat however, it is a very useful storage area. Opening portlight to side deck. Storage shelves have been added to the aft section, with a 240v microwave fitted above.

From the lower lobby area, there are three steps up to the saloon level;

Saloon:

U-shaped seating area to starboard upholstered in a pale blue soft touch fabric.

Electrically operated lowering table with integrated handrail on inboard side.

Infill cushion to create a large double berth with table lowered.

A large (130l) top and front opening fridge unit by Isotherm. 1½ bowl stainless steel sink with fibre covers; monobloc tap with pull-out faucet. Ample storage drawers within the galley area. Large opening window in aft screen to cockpit with gas strut, sliding door to access cockpit area. Floor hatch access to a large underdeck storage area.

Cockpit and deck areas:

The exterior ‘social’ areas of this boat are equally impressive and maintain the ‘one-level’ connection with the saloon and galley areas. The deep cockpit has two long seats either side of a rigidly fitted, folding cockpit table (used to open the engine compartment below), all shaded by a sliding fabric ‘sunroof’ supported on either side by extensions of the hard top.

Under each cockpit seat there is an enormous locker space to easily store bicycles and other equipment. Two steps up at the aft end of the cockpit level brings you to the steering ‘Bridge’ area with twin helm positions each with duplicate controls.

General note on safety equipment: Any safety equipment such as Liferafts, Epirbs, fire extinguishers and flares etc. are usually personal to the current owner(s) and, if being left on-board as part of the sale of a used vessel may require routine servicing, replacement, or changing to meet a new owner’s specific needs.

Vessel’s History/Background

Ordered in April ’21, and completed at the factory in November 2021 with a 2022 hull number and delivered to the UK. Hull prepped and coated with Coppercoat ‘Multi-Season’ antifouling in the UK, pre-delivery commissioning and then handed over to the sole owner from new in June 2022. Based in Plymouth and only lightly used locally in 2023, before the owner’s un-timely death in 2024.

Now, upon Probate having been granted, ‘Ventura’ is to be sold by the Executor of the will to an able and willing buyer, looking for an ‘as new’ late example of these stunning deck saloon yachts featuring space and the convenient handling of sails, combining with the panoramic and walk-through feel of the accommodation’s design – all at a price well below new and with UK VAT paid.

In August 2025 the vessel has been lifted for a clean of the underwater surfaces, overall check of the underwater appendages and the fitting of fresh anodes. The topsides have received a soapy wash down and light polish and wax. The interior has been professionally valeted, the sails valeted and the un-used since, spare new cockpit ‘targa cover’ fitted in place of the ‘winter’ canvas.
