The Hunter Ranger 245 packs a remarkable amount of boat into a relatively small space - and it sails pretty well too as reported in Practical Boat Owner magazine. With a CE Category B she is rated as an offshore cruiser and for good reason. Ballasted twin keels also allow for drying moorings to be used making the Ranger 245 ideal for many coastal locations. Mechanicals
Powered by a Yanmar 1GM10 9hp inboard diesel with shaft driven 2 bladed propeller with rope cutter.
2 x 12V batteries provide engine start and service power, charged via the engine, solar panel or shore power battery charger.

Fractional Bermudan Sloop rig with alloy mast and spars, stainless wire standing rigging and running rigging led aft to cockpit.

Hunter have managed to engineer 6 berths including an aft cabin double, standing headroom, galley with sink, gas oven with hob and grill, ice box, chart table and a separate head into a remarkably practical interior.
