Sunbird in St Malo are delighted to offer this super ocean cruising yacht. Amel are THE specialists, and this is a typical example, having cruised extensively, mainly as a liveaboard. BB Lou is now in Sicily (early April 2024). Contact us for information. The owner is motivated to sell!. Constantly updated and upgraded. See remarks below. Note that the photos of sails are a couple of years old. All the others are new late May 2022. A survey from May 2022 also has up to date photos.

Inventory & Remarks

Mechanical
Solé SM90 88hp diesel installed 2004. 2,759 engine hours @ May 2022. Amel drive to 3 blade Maxprop. Amel retracting bowthruster. 600 litres fuel. New 95 a/h engine battery. 12 x 100 a/h AGM service batteries (2020).. 2 alternators. Onan 6.5 kWA diesel generator (3,290 hours).4 solar panels, each 300W, new 2020, 2 mounted over davits & 2 on hard top. Silentwind 24v wind generator. 12/24/220v circuits. Heart Interface Link 2000 charge controller with 24v ENAG 125A invertor and 65A charger. Electrical panels and switches. Electric and manual bilge pumps.

Rig & Sails
Aluminium main mast, mizzen mast and booms. Amel spinnaker and genoa poles and systems. 4 self tailing winches on main mast and 2 on mizzen mast, Electric in mast furling for mainsail with electric outhaul. Spare 24v motor. Manual in mast furling for mizzen. Electric headsail furler, recently totally overhauled at a cost of 3,000€.Mainsail in good condition, 2 mizzens, 1 good 1 fair condition, 65m2 furling genoa from 2017 with UV strip, storm jib, 150m2 spinnaker with sock and other older downwind sails.

Deck
Amel simulated teak, non slip deck finish. Lofrans 1,200W electric windlass. SPAD anchor with 100m of 10mm chain. 2 spare anchors, some chain and warps. S/S pulpit, guard rails and aft pulpits. Numerous opening hatches and windows, most with screens or blinds. Roomy central cockpit with large table. Helm station to port with leather clad wheel. 5 self tailing cockpit winches. Amel fixed hardtop with extra section added which can be unbolted and removed. This was custom fabricated in epoxy/foam sandwich and incorporates rainwater collection piped to fresh water tank. Total cost 20,000€. S/S support hoops and Sunbrella / cristal enclosures. S/S davits with reinforced mounts and electric winch, Highfield 3.30 dinghy and 15hp Mariner outboard (2021). 8 person liferaft, serviced 2022.

Electronics
B&G Network sailing instruments. Steering compass. 2 fixed VHF radios and 2 handheld. AIS receiver and Mer Veille radar detector. Furuno FS1550 radar. Radar detector. 2 Raymarine ST7000 autopilots, 1 chain drive and 1 linear drive. PC with GPS, pivoting screen and MaxSea Time Zero chart software. Geonav 6 GPS / plotter.

Accommodation
High quality Amel joinery work throughout. V berth cabin fwd with separate heads compartment, fitted with basin, shower and TMC electric wc with 70 litre holding tank. Aft to main saloon with settee to stbd and wrap round U shape settee to port. Customised saloon table. Aft to galley on port side, with twin sinks, hot and cold pressure water, 24v fridge, 24v fride/freezer, 12/24/220v fridge freezer, gas cooker with oven, microwave, Brandt 5.5kg washing machine 2020. 160 litres/hr desalinator. Navigation station opposite to stbd with comprehensive instrumentation, large chart table and masses of storage. Passage cabin to stdb where single berth is currently fitted as workshop and technical area. Large aft cabin with double berth and ensuite heads compartment, again with basin, shower and TMC electric wc with recently fitted Raritan Electroscan waste treatment system.

Remarks
The current owner lives on board for much of the year. He is vastly experienced and has maintained B.B-Lou in tiptop condition. Constant updates and upgrades. Seacocks and through hulls have been progressively replaced. Major recent overhaul of headsail furler. Large stock of spares. Please forgive the disorder in some photos which were taken by the owner and his brother over the last few years, before the decision was made to sell. Survey from May 2022 and report with photos available.

Greement
Mât principal en aluminium, mât d’artimon et bômes. Tangons et systèmes Amel de spinnaker et génois. 4 winchs self tailing sur mât principal et 2 sur mât d’artimon, enrouleur de mât électrique pour grand-voile et moteur électrique pour bordure. Moteur 24v de rechange, enrouleur manuel de mât pour artimon. Enrouleur de génois électrique, récemment totalement révisé avec facture 3000€. Nombreux panneaux et hublots ouvrants, la plupart avec des moustiquaires ou des stores. Cockpit central spacieux avec grande table. Poste de barre à bâbord avec roue revêtue de cuir. Toit rigide fixe Amel avec section supplémentaire ajoutée qui peut être déboulonnée et retirée. Construction custom en sandwich mousse/epoxy avec arceaux inox et fermetures Sunbrella et cristal. Facture totale 20000€. Bossoirs inox avec winch électrique sur supports renforcés, annexe Highfield 3.30 et hors-bord Mariner 15hp (2021). Radeau de sauvetage pour 8 personnes, révisé en 2022.

Menuiserie Amel de haute qualité partout. Cabine avant avec couchette en V, avec compartiment de toilettes séparé, équipée d’un lavabo, d’une douche et d’un wc électrique TMC. En allant vers l’arrière, grand carré avec canapé à tribord et canapé en forme de U à bâbord. Table de carré customisée. Toujours vers l’arrière, cuisine côté bâbord, avec deux éviers, eau chaude et froide sous pression, Réfrigérateur 24v, frigo/congélateur 24v et frigo/congélateur 12/24/220v, réchaud à gaz avec four, four à micro-ondes, lave-linge Brandt de 2020. Dessalinisateur de 160 litres/h. Station de navigation à tribord avec instrumentation complète, grande table de cartes et beaucoup d’espace de stockage. Cabine de coursive à tribord où une couchette simple est actuellement équipé comme atelier et zone technique. Grande cabine arrière avec couchette double et compartiment de toilettes attenante, toujours avec lavabo, douche et wc électrique TMC. Système de traitement des déchets Raritan Electroscan récemment installé.

Commentaires
Le propriétaire actuel vit à bord pendant une grande partie de l’année. Il est très expérimenté et a entretenu B.B-Lou dans un état optimal. Mises à jour et mises à niveau constantes. Les vannes et les passe coques ont été progressivement remplacées. Refonte récente majeure de l’enrouleur de génois. Veuillez pardonner le désordre dans certaines photos qui ont été prises par le propriétaire et son frère au cours des dernières années, avant que la décision ne soit prise de vendre. Expertise faite en mai 2022 et rapport avec des photos disponibles.
