Raised saloon carbon fibre Mylius performance cruiser from the board of Alberto Simeone with 2018 launch, versatile 4-cabin, 4-heads interior layout and a comprehensive cruising specification including in-boom furling and telescopic fin keel.
FURTHER BROKER’S COMMENTS:
Custom built for her current owner, launched in the Spring of 2018, and used almost exclusively for day-sailing during the summer months in and around Sardinia, MY SPACE shares the same hull design as the rocket-ship Mylius 60FD but with a more cruising-orientated cockpit and saloon arrangement. Her raised saloon allows her engine and mechanical systems to be moved below floor level, lowering and centralising her centre of gravity while also increasing usable interior accommodation space.
Configured for effortless short-handed sailing, MY SPACE has a push-button in-boom furling and jib furling rig along with furling Code 0 for off wind sailing. Easily handed from her twin helm positions aft, her guest cockpit area is left free of ropes and clutter and is the ideal place for friends and family to relax in safety and comfort.
Constructed in carbon epoxy sandwich, MY SPACE has an incredibly light displacement of just over 20 tonnes along with a form stability designed to minimise heal under sail, further increasing cruising comfort. Her telescopic keel also allows for convenient anchoring in shallower harbours with her 3.50m sailing draft reducing to just 2.80m.
Below decks, MY SPACE benefits from a versatile 4-cabin, 4-heads interior layout, allowing her to accommodate large families, groups of friends and either with or without crew aboard.
Her specification highlights include:-

• Privately owned and sailed with just one owner since new

ABOUT THE MYLIUS 65’:
Completely re-designed from the experience of the Mylius 19E95, the new Mylius 65’ is the prestigious creation of Mylius shipyards for ship owners who wish to buy a sailboat of about 20 meters, with unique style, quality and performance.
The yacht is available in Flush-Deck (FD) or Raised Saloon (RS) versions, characterized by the elegant mezzanine lounge space.
The new Mylius 65 features a better sail area/displacement ratio and slightly more waterline length in comparison with its predecessor. The hull is also significantly beamier, especially in the aft sections, with more form stability, offering improved downwind pace and better directional stability when sailing at high speeds.
The increased form stability was a key goal with the new design, not only while racing with a crew on the rail but, maybe even more important, in cruising mode when a more ‘relaxed’ smaller crew can benefit from the comfort of less heel.
Even with its luxurious fit-out, this new 65 displaces just 20 tonnes with its carbon construction, less than any other boat of this type. She is a perfect example of the modern fast cruiser-racer, a yacht with a full cruising interior that is also ready for serious racing.
Hull, deck, ribs, bulkheads and chainplates are all constructed in carbon-PVC sandwich, with solid laminate in the areas of keel, mast, rudder and engine. All composite elements employ an epoxy matrix tailored for the yacht. The design’s structural analysis is based on ISO 12215, all carefully optimised using finite element (FEA) analysis. The lamination of hull and primary structure is also validated at various stages using NDT ultrasonic checks. The interior elements complement the overall structure in terms of rigidity and robustness.
ABOUT MYLIUS YACHTS:
Mylius was born in 2003 from a dream and the love for sailing of three men. Mario Sassi, Alberto Simeone and Mauro Montefusco always lived sailing as their big passion. After various professional experiences in other sectors, they launched a completely new company, able to reflect their way of living and loving the sea.
From the end of 2011, the Mylius SRL was 51% owned by the Twinpack Group, world leaders in the packaging industry, based in Podenzano near Piacenza. This was the best way of celebrating the long-lasting relationship between Luciano Gandini, President of Twinpack and now Mylius too, and the three founding partners.
The new headquarters, inaugurated in March 2015, consists of an area of over 17,000 square meters with six production and two office buildings, plus a private heliport. The lamination’s activities take place in Poland, in a structure of about 10,000 sq.m. with about 40 people, in partnership with Rega Yacht, highly specialized in composite construction, with an experience of almost 100 boats.
In the new shipyard in Podenzano several interesting synergies are implemented between two very different and very complementary industries. The shipbuilding experience and design excellence of Mylius are now combined with a solid industrial base, able to respond to all production requirements and technological challenges. Also thanks to these synergies, many ideas and projects are springing up, with a constant growth also in international markets.
