UK RESIDENTS ONLY. Sailing Veronica around the Caribbean is an absolute joy. She is easily handled by a couple and copes well with the varied wind and sea conditions. Properly equipped for fast and comfortable inter-island passage-making or long lazy days at anchor. Veronica is maintained to ‘as good as she can be’ condition with new engine and sails, replacement fridge and hatches, refurbished saloon upholstery and excellent windgen and solar power with integrated controller.
Veronica is run via a mature UK-based group that are hands-on, knowledgeable and very supportive, plus a long-established local manager in Antigua. The syndicate meets annually to discuss maintenance requirements and upgrades and agree sailing rotas. Whilst there is a formal system to allow each owner to choose in turn their preferred sailing slots, in practice this friendly syndicate has managed to reach easy agreement of sailing rotas. Veronica is normally launched in November and available through to June. Currently one owner prefers the May / June 'low session' slot, leaving the remaining available for the other 3 members.
The syndicate is currently considering moving Veronica's base from Antigua to St Lucia. Both have easy access to international flights.
UK Registered Boat; therefore, only UK Residents can apply.
