This somewhat unusual Fairey Huntsman 28, hull 90, has a single Mermaid Turbo 4 plus 250hp engine.
The engine was purchased brand new in 2019 at a cost of £7500, the trailer was also new at the time. Prop shaft and propeller are also new. The boat comes with a selection of original fittings.
She was shipped new in 1966 to Mr Rownan in Thames Estuary and was his second Huntsman 28 purchased from Fairey.
While she is now single engine, she was at one time a twin engine boat, or at least Fairey started to build her as a twin engine boat as some clear evidence of this exists inside.
At one time she gave sterling service as a bass fishing boat working out of Weymouth.
A great deal of good work has been completed, the hull is sound and epoxy coated, the deck and cabin structure are new.
There is still a great deal of work to do and ideally she would be suited to a 'seasoned hand' that has previously undertaken a Fairey rebuild.
