About this Hallberg-Rassy 26

English

With a Fractional rig, though deck furling jib, Volvo D1-13 engine and large windows in the topsides you might think we were talking about a new Hallberg-Rassy but MISS S was built in 1982! The similarities to the current range do not stop on deck the accommodation on this yacht is fitted out with the same craftsmanship and considered design we expect on today’s Hallberg-Rassys.

MISS C is a well cared for and well maintained Hallberg-Rassy 26 from 1982 bearing all the hallmarks of the modern yachts but a little more modest in LOA and Asking price. Representing exceptional value for money I am sure interest in this yacht will be high so, read the specification and inventory, view the pictures in the gallery and book a viewing fast.

General

Characteristic of all Hallberg-Rassy boats is the flawless joinery in which every detail is a combination of utility and beauty.  The Hallberg-Rassy 26 is fitted out in the traditional mahogany with a satin varnish finish, her large hull windows make the accommodation light and inviting.

The galley is well-equipped and includes a gas hob and grill, built in fridge, hand-operated fresh water pump and space for crockery.  The fresh water tank contains 65 litres and the headroom in the galley is 6'.

The dropleaf table has 3 positions: full width in harbour, half width with rails at sea and completely folded when the bunks are in use.

The HR26 has four berths, each at least 2 metres long and 70 centimetres wide at shoulder height.

The toilet space has been ergonomically designed. There is plenty of stowage and a separate wardrobe.

Comments

The Hallberg-Rassy 26 was built between 1978 - 1985.  A total of 469 hulls were built.  MISS S is Hull No. 424 delivered in 1982

In 1978 the Hallberg-Rassy 26 received the honourable "Golden Steering Wheel" award in the Swedish yachting magazine Båtnytt.  We quote:
"The Golden Steering wheel goes to Hallberg-Rassy - for the capability to achieve wonderful quality at a reasonable price in their new HR 26.  This award goes to the executive of the yard, Christoph Rassy, and the designer Olle Enderlein for their determination to create a boat dedicated to family use.  Our opinion is that this boat is built to an exceptional standard, the living space on board is well used with for example four full length berths, a good kitchen and much more."
