About the Atlantic 42

Designed by John Bennett to a very definite design brief, the Atlantic 42 is a very capable sea boat with predictable handling in all sea states. It also has the advantage of being able to navigate any canal or inland waterway in Northern Europe as it has a maximum air draft of 3.4m to allow safe passage under any bridge on the European navigable waterway system. The radar arch is easily lowered and is gas assisted to make this a simple, one person, operation.

Many Atlantic owners regularly cruise the international rivers and canals with Germany, France, Holland and Belgium regularly featuring in their log books with one or two more intrepid owners going still further........the USA for example!

Notwithstanding this inland ability, they are without doubt, the most competent sea going boats with a very dry riding hull, predictable handling and hugely comfortable accommodation to allow long and comfortable stays aboard. Built to RCD Cat B they are suitable in weather up to force 8.
