NAUTOR SWAN Nautor Swan 59 Zu verkaufen (1990) in Valencia, Valencian Community, Spanien

XANADU was the last Nautor Swan 59 built and was originally named GULLIVER. She was specified and customized for the 1991-92 Europa World Rally—which she won! Her interior features a special layout with eight single beds in four cabins (plus a saloon). She is now set up for easy family sailing, equipped with a hydraulic headstay furler and hydraulic sheet winches. In 2019, under her current ownership, she underwent a refit, including a new teak deck and other works. In 2021, she received further major upgrades, including a new engine, a new generator, a new watermaker, new air conditioning/heating, and numerous other system and electrical upgrades.

Construction

RCD Status: Our understanding is that the yacht is exempt from the essential safety requirements of the Recreational Craft Directive as she was built and placed into use within the EU prior to 1998.

Hull, Deck & Superstructure Construction:

• GRP hull, by the hand laying-up method, using alternate layers of mat and roving. Stiffeners are laid up over foam cores and reinforced with unidirectional glass. Structural bulkheads are of marine grade water-proof plywood laminated to hull and deck. Engine beds are GRP with steel inserts. The mast is stepped through the deck onto a metal mast step. Laminated reinforcements on the bulkhead for the stainless-steel chain plates.
• White hull with blue stripes.
• Deck is made of foam cored GRP sandwich construction. Single laminate with aluminium back-up plates under deck fittings.
• Teak laid deck – 2019.
• Anodized aluminium toe-rail.
• Pulpit, pushpit and lifeline stanchions and stainless wire lifelines.

Keel & Rudder:

• Laminar flow bulb keel draft 3.1m.
• Ballast keel is a lead casting with antimony. Cast in keel bolts of high tensile stainless-steel.
• Ballast 10,350kg.
• Spade rudder of foam filled GRP with high tensile tubular stainless-steel stock, supported by two roller bearings.

Machinery

Engine & Gearboxes:

• Volvo Penta D4 270 diesel engine – new 2021.
• New cockpit panel, incl. electronic Volvo throttle control – 2021.
• 4 x Racor fuel filters – 3 for main engine, 1 for generator.

Maintenance & Performance:

• Engine hours – approx. 680 as of July 2025.
• Last engine service May 2025.
• Cruising speed – approx. 8 knots @ 1800rpm.
• Maximum speed – approx. 9.5 knots @ 2200rpm.
• Fuel consumption at cruising speed – approx. 12 to 14 litres per hour.

Propulsion & Steering:

Voltage Systems:

• 12vDC/24vDC domestic system with 220v ring main from generator and/or shorepower.
• BattMan Pro Mastervolt battery monitoring system incorporated at AC panel – 2021.

Battery Banks:

• Engine and service batteries 24v – all new 2024.
• 8 x GreenPower GP120 12v, 120Ah service batteries.
• Varta ProMotive heavy duty starting batteries for engine and generator.

Battery Chargers:

• Chargers Nº 1: Mastervolt Chargemaster Plus 24/60-3, 24v 60A.
• Charger Nº 2: Mastervolt 24v / 60A.
• Charger Nº 3: Mastervolt Chargemaster 12/35-3 12v 35A.

Alternators:

• 24v Mastervolt alternator – new 2021 for charging the service batteries.

• Fischer Panda 8.3 kVA 50Hz with sound box – new 2021.

Bilge Pumps:

• 2 x electric bilge pumps in saloon bilge, one Rule auto bilge pump and one Seaflo 20Amp, 12-24v DC bilge pump.

Tankage

Fuel:

• 1,000 litres in 4 x stainless steel tanks.
