NOVE – A one-of-a-kind 63’ wooden & carbon yacht where tradition meets vision
Nove is not just a boat. It’s an idea — a return to the essence of sailing, where the scent of cedar mingles with salt air, and comfort is rooted in simplicity. Built from red cedar and carbon, NOVE is a unique creation: a modern classic, born from passion, crafted with care, and designed to be sailed — not just shown.
The concept behind NOVE was developed in close collaboration with Alessandro Vismara, whose design vision is evident in the distinctive deckhouse and balanced hull lines. Construction was entrusted to Officine Alto Adriatico, under the guidance of Giorgio Ferluga, a master shipwright in the Sciarrelli tradition.
The result is a bespoke vessel, unmistakably Italian in thought, execution, and soul — combining carbon engineering with classic shipbuilding.
KEY SPECIFICATION
Measuring 19.15 meters in length with a beam of 5.29 meters, NOVE offers a comfortable draft of 2.80 meters thanks to its L-shaped keel — perfect for accessing most Mediterranean ports and shallow bays. The sail plan is classically elegant: a mainsail without a square top, paired with a self-tacking jib, plus the option to rig Code Zero and gennaker sails for versatile downwind performance. The interior accommodates three cabins — two twin guest cabins and a master suite — each with private bathrooms, designed for comfort and privacy. Maneuvering NOVE is effortless with only four winches, electric controls, and smartly positioned halyards, enabling easy handling by a minimal crew.
EXTERIOR
The deckhouse is NOVE’s standout feature — tall, rounded, with a small aft extension that shades the cockpit. The cockpit is split into two zones: a working area aft with dual helms and sail controls, and a slightly lowered social space protected by the deckhouse and guardrails, connected to the interior by a sliding glass door. Every detail balances function, elegance, and harmony.
INTERIOR
Stepping inside NOVE is like entering a private retreat. The materials, the layout, the light — everything speaks of warmth and balance.
The dinette is on the same level as the cockpit, with no steps in between — a rarity — and sits elevated for a 360° view through the curved deckhouse windows. Forward, three steps lead to the cabin area: two comfortable twin guest cabins and a spacious owner’s suite with separate beds. All cabins have private bathrooms. The atmosphere is intimate and timeless, with wood as the protagonist.
