Owner and Yacht Management's comment:
After we owned a smaller boat we bought our dream boat the HR55 from the first owner in 2017 to do Bluewater sailing.
We equipped and upgraded it over 3 years for Bluewater sailing.
In 2019 we sailed down to Lagos and stayed over the winter. We were going to continue in the spring of 2020 but when the pandemic came we decided to stay in the Marina of Lagos. We have been sailing around Portugal & Spain and thoroughly enjoyed it, but now age is starting to make its presence and the interest in longer sailings is being replaced by the grandchildren at home. We truly hope to find a new owner who understands and appreciates the boat's full potential.
Confidence & Security: Owners feel safe and secure on the Hallberg-Rassy 55, even during solo long voyages across the ocean. Investment Value: The combination of build quality, advanced features, and proven offshore capability makes the 55 a high-value yacht for those serious about cruising. Engine:
The engine room has easy access, with walk-in characteristics. All easy to maintain, all well sound insulated. The engine itself is a D4-180,
The three-bladed Flexifold propeller contributes to this yacht's ability to achieve a cruising speed 8 knots Electrical: There is a top designed Mastervolt electrical system, which quickly and automatically changes between shore power and inverter, depending on what is available. This system is also build for 230 V and 110 V. Two Mastervolt Combi will deliver continuously 7Kw, that provides for all the needs at anchor or under sail. A Whisper Power generator of 10Kw completes this installation.
We are honoured to have been taking care of this incredibly well maintained and up to modern standards Hallberg-Rassy 55, for the owners. Now that they have decided to have to let go we were asked to help them sell their boat. We got to know the boat very well over the last few years and it is very rare to see such a fully fitted Bluewater sailing yacht. The owner particularly made an enormous effort to install a top of the notch electrical system. The boat is full of extras and loads of spares. Without hesitation we can say it is ready to go!
We have an office in the Marina of Lagos, just in front of the boat and are available to show and explain the boat to anyone seriously interested.
