Marketing Description
“Victoria Rose” is a well-presented example of the ever-popular Colvic Countess 28. A solid and dependable cruiser known for her spacious interior, reassuring sea-keeping, and versatile bilge-keel design. Built in 1984, she offers the rugged construction Colvic are renowned for, combined with a comfortable and intelligently laid-out interior that belies her size.
Ideal for coastal cruising, family sailing, or as an entry into a proper cruising yacht, Victoria Rose benefits from generous beam, excellent stability, and a layout that provides up to six berths across a forward cabin, saloon and quarter berth. Her bilge keels make her perfectly suited to exploring shallower waters, taking a drying mooring, or enjoying tidal estuaries with confidence.
Down below, her warm timber interior creates a welcoming atmosphere, with a practical galley, neatly arranged saloon seating, and a well-proportioned heads compartment. On deck, she offers a secure cockpit with all lines sensibly arranged for short-handed sailing.
Whether you're looking for a capable weekender, an affordable family cruiser, or a yacht with proven long-distance credentials, Victoria Rose represents excellent value and a great opportunity to own a classic British cruising yacht with charm and character.

We've owned Victoria Rose for over 10 years and she's been a safe and reliable vessel, well suited to a young family with a very safe cockpit and sturdy design. She comes well equipped for her size with plenty of safety equipment and has previously had the tiller helm converted to a wheel helm. We are only moving her on after 10 years of ownership as we require a larger boat as our family grows.
