Construction

RCD Status: Our understanding is that the yacht is exempt from the essential safety requirements of the Recreational Craft Directive as she was built and placed into use within the EU prior to 1998.

Hull, Deck & Superstructure Construction:

• Hull construction with 8mm steel plate.
• Superstructure in aluminium.
• Teak laid decks to the aft deck, side decks, foredeck and flybridge.
• Kent spin screen.
• Opening port lights on both port and starboard in the wheelhouse.
• Windscreen wipers.

Machinery

Engine & Gearboxes:

• 2 x MAN D2566MLE (1983) diesel engines – 191KW (300HP).
• MAN gearboxes (25:1) reduction with contra-rotating shafts.
• Main Engine to gearbox drive couplings – changed 2015.
• VDO engine instrumentation in wheelhouse and flybridge.
• Morse throttle controls at upper and lower helms.

Maintenance & Performance:

• Engine hours – Starboard 7861 / Port 7453.
• Engine serviced every 200 hrs – last completed in 2019.
• Cruising speed – 8.5kts (@1750 RPM).
• Maximum speed – 11kts.
• Fuel consumption at cruising speed – 50 litres/phr total.
• Range @ cruising speed – transatlantic.

Propulsion & Steering:

• Three blade bronze.
• Two station hydraulic steering (from wheelhouse and flybridge).

Voltage Systems:

• MAXIME is set up with 3-phase 380v, running 3 phases of 220v electrical system.

• 2 x lead acid batteries for engine start (2 x 110 amp) – approx 2020.

Watermaker:

• Sea anchor watermaker (250 litres/phr) – 2018.

Bilge Pumps:

• 2 x 24V submersible bilge pumps.
• 2 x 220V bilge pumps on float switches.

Tankage

Fuel:

• 5 x fuel tanks.
• Main fuel tank – 2 x 4,000 litres each.
