UK RESIDENTS ONLY. This is an incredibly well-designed boat by Rob Humphreys, the designer for Oyster yachts. The semi-deck saloon makes it a very light and spacious boat for cruising and living on in the Med. It has a fabulously stylish saloon with separate sofa and U-shaped seating. The table opens up to seat 8 comfortably. All owners take great care to ensure the boat stays in top condition.
The long side windows and overhead skylights give the whole of the saloon and kitchen a bright and luxurious feel as well as providing excellent visibility. Air conditioning, cabin heating, inverter and generator make her a very comfortable boat. The boat has a 3-cabin layout with owner's suite up front, which includes separate toilet and shower rooms. There are two roomy aft cabins, one of which connects to the extremely spacious main heads which has an excellent separate shower cubicle.
There are very good usable cupboards, drawers and shelves throughout. The L-shaped kitchen works really well with plenty of well thought out storage. It has a front-opening fridge (much more convenient and usable than a top- opening one), a large separate top opening deep freezer (we use it as a drinks fridge but it can be used as a freezer), a 3-burner gimble cooker with oven.
The Elan has a fabulous cockpit – spacious with a good sized table. A nice addition are two push pit seats which are enjoyed by all.
There is a generous 516-litre water tank and a 270-litre diesel tank, allowing long periods between visits to marinas & harbours. She sails beautifully and is easily handled by two people. She performs extremely well in both light airs and more challenging conditions.
Being based in Lefkas it is really convenient for the small and efficient Preveza airport. The Ionian region offers many different exciting areas to explore. Go north to Corfu, Paxos, Antipaxos and the Greek mainland. Go south and enjoy lots of interesting islands, including Meganisi, Kefalonia, Ithaca, Kalamos, Kastos and Zakinthos. Go southeast into the Gulf of Patras, Gulf of Corinth, the stunning Corinth Canal and to Athens.
