The Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 42.2 is a sturdy, 12.8-meter offshore cruiser built by Jeanneau from 1999, known for its comfort, stability, and blue-water capability. It features a masthead sloop rig, a fin keel, a reverse transom with a swim platform, and can sleep up to eight or ten people in a 3 or 4-cabin configuration. This model is designed for both long-distance cruising and leisurely sailing, with a spacious interior and a powerful diesel engine for maneuvering.
Perseus is a well equipped 4 cabin verison that has recently used by teh current owner for sailing school charter. Standing rigging replaced 2022 and new sails in 2023. Heating and good electronics.
Accommodation
The Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 42.2 was available in a 4-cabin version that included a small cabin with bunk beds. This layout was achieved by replacing one of the heads in the forward section with the bunk-bed cabin. This configuration is often found on charter boats to maximize the number of berths.

Aft cabins: The layout generally includes two double cabins located in the aft of the boat, one on the port side and one on the starboard side.
