English

Originally displayed at the 2005 London International Boat Show. JO JAY is a very smartly presented example of the Ray Hunt-designed Grand Banks 46 Classic semi-displacement trawler yacht with a versatile three-cabin, twin heads interior layout.

FURTHER BROKER’S COMMENTS:

First launched as a model in 1984 the Grand Banks 46 has proven to be an ideal long distance cruiser, available in the Classic or Europa styles. A true semi-displacement hull it strikes the perfect balance between the extremes of full planning and displacement hulls; comfortable cruising between 8-10kts and capable of nearing 20kts if pushed hard. Designed for longer distance cruising the Classic layout boasts two spacious double cabins with a third crew cabin and elevated saloon. With over 300 hulls leaving the factory the Grand Banks 46 has built a loyal following.

Displayed at the 2005 London boat show JO-JAY has been UK-based since new; now with her fourth owners, based in Scotland during the current and previous ownerships. Internally she has the more modern layout with a linear galley in the deck house and a spacious third single cabin forward. Wintered ashore undercover with her current owners she has benefitted from recent upgrading. Her inventory highlights feature:

• Underwater hull finish in blue International Paints antifouling, applied spring 2024
