DALE Classic 37 - BUILT FOR CRUISING IN STYLE

Mike’s vision to build a new classic styled model started to become more than just an idea back in early April 2020 when discussions and sketches between Mike and Arthur ( Nelson designer) soon resulted in drawings flying back and for in earnest. Those early days in lockdown provided a window of space and an uninterrupted time to reflect on what Mike really wanted to achieve from this latest design. Mike had already received unprecedented interest in both our Classic 35 and Classic 45 and there was an appetite out in the market for a beautifully built boat with classic styling but of a more manageable size than our iconic 45 and more accommodation than our 35. In reality, the 37 provides the 45 accommodation and wheelhouse, in a smaller boat, with the same acclaimed underwater semi displacement hull shape used on our DALE 40.

All in all, a lot of boat with classic styling and pedigree for cruising with confidence, reassurance and security.

A NICE PLACE TO BE

A large forward cabin, generous toilet and shower, hand-crafted galley open to spacious wheelhouse. The full width forward deck design provides for exceptional space within the accommodation allowing for a substantial double berth (nigh on a queen size double) and a high degree of customisation available with regard to locker and hanging locker space for those that like cruising further afield or stay on board for extended periods in comfort. For that essential feel of luxury and comfort when longer-term cruising, the toilet and shower has ample space and finished with solid timber detailing.

The galley is beautifully appointed to reflect the personal taste and requirements of the owner, fitted with corian worktop with high timber fiddles, large hob, sink, ample lower locker space and fridge at aft end set back beneath the wheelhouse sole for maximum use of space. The stowage is extensive with made to measure crockery stowage machined and hand detailed out of solid timber.

For those requiring a second cabin for family or guests, an alternative arrangement is available with galley to wheelhouse and a second cabin partially tucked beneath the wheelhouse sole to provide 4 berths and in addition to this the wheelhouse seating with the sliding seat arrangement can be converted to add a further small double berth.

The wheelhouse has ample space for a fully enclosed social dining area. Our moveable helm seat slides forward at the touch of a button to provide comfortable seating for five with an optional additional internal table for a further three persons if required. Fully opening timber wheelhouse doors integrate the wheelhouse with the spacious cockpit seating for open air socialising and dining whilst the mid transom door provides easy access onto a full width boarding platform for boarding and stepping ashore.

For setting off to sea, the fully contoured leather helm and pilot seats are perfect for comfort at sea with the helm seat adjustable at the touch of a button. The underwater hull design with long keel provides for absolute re-assurance, ease of handling and manoeuvring.

MAKE IT YOUR OWN

We pride ourselves on our custom builds and attention to detail, working closely with clients to interpret their thoughts and requirements right down to the last detail. Every build offers the unique opportunity for owners to engage as little or as much as they wish, and a range of additional options are available. We as builders enjoy every minute of the experience of forming that relationship with our clients and likewise our owners tell us that they enjoy the build process almost as much as owning their new boat.
