''MV TIPASA'' - 2006 LEGENDARY MODEL

Extensive overhaul 2022 & 2023 / Strict logbook maintenance

Comprehensive haul out August 2023 with further updates November 2023

Priced $950,000 USD

Overview
We are proud to represent and offer this well kept and consistently updated 2006 Nordhavn 55. This is a true ocean-going explorer with her full-displacement hull and exceptional fuel efficiency making the ideal platform to navigate the seas in maximum comfort and confidence. Embark on Asian adventures such as Malacca, Indonesia, Borneo or passage to the Mediterranean Sea, African coast or Great Barrier Reef, the escapades are endless.

The small-ship exterior and commercial-like pilot house immediately define what this boat was made and designed for, but step inside and you are graced with the elegance and class of Tipasa's fine materials and generous interior volume. The space is accommodating while still being extremely usable which makes living aboard on those extended voyages enjoyable and stree-free. The addition of stabilisation both underway by Track Fins and at anchor with Paravenes adds to the comfort for all onboard.

Long Range
Accustomed to the Nordhavn name is their vessels long-range capability and Tipasa is no different with an impressive 3000NM range allowing new owners the ability to cruise to the far corners of the globe and really adventure the unexplored. Powered by her reliable and renovated Lugger 340hp engine, the remarkable fuel efficiency opens the door to trips of a lifetime.

Maintenance
Tipasa is a wonderful example of this iconic hull from the world-renowned designer, Jim Leishman. In only her third ownership since new, she benefits from a meticulous owner who has spared no expense with a strict maintenance log and full-time captain who has nonstop cared for Tipasa since purchase.

Location
Currently berthed in Krabi, Thailand and easily moveable as required to nearby Phuket. Under the Langkawi flag; Tipasa's experienced Captain is available for handover, thorough vessel familiarisation, and by negotiation could relocate the vessel to a buyers preferred shipping port in the region.

Contact
Available immediately, please get in touch with Jamie Allwork and Simpson Marine for more information or to arrange a viewing at short notice, viewings are strongly recommended.

Special Salient Features

FACTORY OPTIONS
The most popular factory options selected during construction and several smart additions for safety and comfort.

BOAT DECK ARRANGMENT
Open social space on the upper boat deck. Rather than using the boat’s upper deck as a storage space, converted into a dining settee for six with folding teak armchairs.

BOAT DECK COVER
The strong stainless steel top frame removable and a canvas cover provide shade on the upper deck and adds space for a large array of solar panel (1000w). The hydraulic crane remains operational for heavy loads, such as loading a motorcycle.

USER-FRIENDLY SWINGING DAVITS
The tender is stowed at the transom on a stainless-steel swinging davit operated by an electric winch, allowing the easy loading and unloading of a 12’ RIB and at the same time frees space on the upper deck.

PARTITION BULKHEAD
In the saloon, a partition teak bulkhead created to separate the kitchen from the saloon. On the saloon side, bookshelves and on the galley side, a panel to hang kitchenware, therefore providing a more usable layout of the kitchen. In addition to the cozy classic yacht library atmosphere on the saloon side, a separate kitchen has proven to be much more convenient at sea when a crew, chef or stewardess is hired.

(Note- This partition can easily be removed if necessary, at a nominal cost, using highly skilled local marine carpenters. A concept design and cost estimate is available.)
