Boat Details

Built by James Miller and Sons of St Monans, Scotland, the Miller Fifer was a very successful range of motor sailers. Millers were a long-established firm passing through several generations with a proud reputation for building fine fishing boats. The Fifers had a direct lineage to the fishing boats built by the yard and, in their various sizes were built with the same massive scantlings as the fishing boats. Designed and built in 1975, Seeker of Fife is thought to be the largest known yacht constructed in the yard and was built for the owner.

She sleeps 6-8, has 2 heads, a large saloon and galley area and a sizeable forward cabin and owners en suite cabin aft. Powered by a 127hp 6 cylinder Gardner 6LX diesel engine.

Overview of refit required

Seeker of Fife has had some considerable investment in her structure carried out by a local time served boat builder. This included redoing her deck and under deck beams.

  • You will note from photographs some finishing panels are required.

  • She needs new carpet and would benefit from being reupholstered and the varnish being redone.

  • The wheelhouse is in need of varnish work and has been stripped and prepared in some areas.

  • There is rot in the area of the chain plates and the same local boat who worked on her for the previous owner has estimated a cost of £4,000 + VAT.
