The Beneteau First 305 is a well-respected Jean Berret design. Accommodation

Offering up to six berths with two double sleeping cabins separate from the main accommodation, two settee berths and is pleasantly finished with teak joinery. In the forecabin, V berth with infill and stowage under. Opening hatch to foredeck. Hanging locker. In saloon, two settee berths. Fixed table with drop leaves. Opening hatch to deck. Forward facing chart table to starboard with galley opposite. Two burner gimballed gas cooker with grill and oven. Twin stainless steel sinks with manually pumped water supply. 100 litre freshwater capacity. Cool box. Separate heads compartment to starboard with marine toilet with holding tank, washbasin and wet hanging locker. Aft cabin to port with double berth and hanging locker. Three opening portlights. Red cloth upholstery.

Mechanical Systems

Located behind the companionway is the Volvo MD2002 twin cylinder 18hp diesel engine, fitted new in 1985. Electric start. Seawater cooled. Shaft drive to fixed two bladed propeller. White GRP superstructure with moulded non-slip to deck. Cast iron fin keel. Spade hung rudder. Tiller steering. Aft self-draining cockpit with liferaft/dinghy stowage. Sugar scoop transom. Teak slats to cockpit seats.
