An Inboard Engine is an internal combustion engine mounted directly to a boat's hull. This engine type is designed to provide power to the boat for propulsion, navigation, and other functions. Typically, the Inboard Engine is installed in the stern of a boat, although some units can also be found in the midsection. Most modern inboard engines are powered by gasoline, diesel, propane fuel, and electric motors and feature a propeller for thrust. Inboard engines are typically more efficient than outboard engines and offer superior performance.
