1989 Sealine 285 Ambassador for sale in Kent
A well-presented example of these popular family cruiser. This Sealine Ambassador is fitted with twin Volvo diesel AD31 engines which allow for economical cruising. The Sterndrives have been recently overhauled and serviced and the hull has been freshly antifouled. The Sealine 285 Ambassador offers 4 berths in 2 cabins plus 2 berths in the cockpit.
Forward is the large seating area with table that makes into a double berth with storage lockers under and a hanging wardrobe.
The galley is well fitted with a two burner gas hob,,12v fridge, microwave, stainless steel sink, drainer and mixer tap. There is ample storage over and under.
The heads to starboard has a cold water shower, wash basin and marine toilet. The mid cabin is a good size and can be used as two singles or a double with storage locker and hanging wardrobe.
Steps lead up to the helm position with a triple seat. There is good visibility and plenty of seating at the rear around a removable table. A transom door leads to the bathing platform which has a hot and cold deck shower.

This Sealine 285 Ambassador has Twin Volvo AD 31 turbo Diesel engines ,direct cooling with stern drives to 4 bladed propellers. Morse controls and Trim tabs, giving you an average cruising speed of 18 knots and max speed of approximately 24 knots It is fitted with two Aluminium fuel tanks with a total fuel capacity of 443 L.
The engines were last serviced by the owner in 2022.
Electrical Systems: This boat has 2 x 24v Batteries Domestic, 2 x 12v Batteries Engine start and 1 x 12v Electric Windlass battery.
All Batteries are charged from engines alternators and 240v battery charger. It has a 240v shore power system fitted with a Ring main and a Battery Charger/Management system (Victron).
