It bears remarkable resemblance to the Laurent Giles designed Oland Skiff which John requested as a starter project for students attending his wooden boatbuilding courses. Remarks :Pili Pala. Built by world renowned boat builder John Kerr. She is remarkable resemblance to the Oland Skiff Laurent Giles designed for John. A 15ft skiff which John requested as a starter project for students who attended his wooden boatbuilding courses. Pili Pala just a meter more in length with a construction of 6 mm lap-strake marine ply, with a lightweight laminated wood keel and stem. The dagger-board and rudder, frames and thwarts are also of marine ply. This is John Kerr's own interpretation on the Laurent Giles design.
