History of Italcraft

Italcraft, a well-known player in the world of boat manufacturing, is a prestigious Italian company renowned for producing top-of-the-line luxury yachts and commercial vessels. The company's origins date back to 1955 when it was established by Emilio Tedeschi in Rome. Tedeschi had an insatiable desire to create high-performance, luxury vessels meticulously designed down to the finest detail. The company began its operations in the coastal region of Ostia and it was here that Italcraft yachts were built in their early days by skilled Italian craftsmen.

The successful launch of the company's first vessel - Sarima – laid the groundwork for Italcraft’s prosperity, setting the stage for the construction of numerous cutting-edge vessels over the years. Their sumptuous interiors combined with formidable speed and agility established Italcraft's reputation in the boating sector. In the years that followed, Italcraft diversified its portfolio by venturing into the commercial and defence sectors, adding a variety of patrol boats, work boats and multi-purpose ferries to its collection.

Today, Italcraft maintains its prominent position in the global boating industry. Post changes in ownership, it was acquired by GFM Group in 2013 and was then relocated to their shipyards located in the outskirts of Naples. As the company rapidly and progressively evolves, it remains dedicated to the manufacturing of luxurious, technologically advanced, high-performance vessels. Remaining true to their Italian roots, the focus on design and powerful performance continues at the heart of Italcraft, which is why the name still epitomises style, sophistication, and sheer power in the boating world.
