1978 Herreshoff Meadowlark 37
The Meadowlark 37 is a fun sailer, with a shallow draft for a vessel with a 41' LOA, she is the perfect vessel for exploring the bays. She can go where most other shoal draft boats can't.
She is in very nice condition and ready for sailing. She has beautiful lines, this unique vessel turns heads wherever she goes. A quick online search will confirm what a rare find she is.
This Herreshoff is the classic Meadowlark from L. Francis Herreshoff. She was constructed with foam-cored molded fiberglass. The core was hand laid up in lateral 12" strips. Fore and aft of each strip, fiberglass webs tie her inner and outer skins together, providing high strength and stiffness. The decks, trunk, and cockpit are constructed the same with wedges on 9" centers. The hull is over 1 inch thick. The lee boards have internal lead ballast. Hull sides are painted with Awlgrip. The vents and deck hardware are bronze.
The cabin is comfortable with a foldable table, updated upholstery in the salon, 2 settees, Koolatron 12V refrigeration, an alcohol stove, a composting head, and plenty of storage.

This Allan Vaitses Meadowlark is a rare find. The sellers are moving inland and can no longer use the sailboat. She has a newer set of sails custom-made by a local loft in 2024. The bottom is cleaned regularly. A temporary repair was made to the bow, a docking mishap, will need to be completed when next hauledShe is ready to sail!
