The Pair of Twins 38 is the last catamaran in this series by Harm Veenema designed for his own use, based on his experiences with the previous Pair of Twins catamarans. The hullshape is dictated by the famous Prof. Gerritsma of the towing tank at Delft. This led to a shallow hull that slips easilly through and over the water. Partly due the aerodynamic superstructute the yacht sails well to windward. The Airex PVC sandwich skins have so much floatation that it renders this catamaran unsinkable. The attractive interior with 5 large size bunks is full with practical solutions made from the best materials. The VW-Turbo diesel mechanically drives two retractable sailkdrives under the bridgedeck. This unique yacht is now for sale at Lelystad for medical reasons of the owners-couple.
