The 1896 Tjalk Pavilion Dutch Sailing Barge, designed by D. Boat, built in Holland, of steel construction painted black, teak laid decks and coachroof. Displacement hull flat bottom with less than 1m draft. Oak leeboards, lots of beautiful carvings over the main hatch and on the keel hung tiller.
“Vertrouwen” is rigged as gaff sloop, hollow wooden mast and boom 2014, deck stepped on a tabernacle, with a mast lowering system via the deck winch. Stainless steel standing rigging 2014, Slab reefing mainsail, hanks on foresail.

With an approximate cruising speed of 5 knots an approximate top speed of 7 knots. Last out of water maintenance 2021, anti-fouled anodes replaced. Some service history available.
