About this Cockwells 9.5m Custom Day Launch

English

Jaw-dropping custom Day Launch / Superyacht Tender from Cockwells in Mylor, Falmouth. Combining GRP hull construction finished in Flagblue Awlgrip with the timeless elegance of varnished mahogany decks and powered by super-economical twin Yanmar diesels, she is both achingly pretty and practical.

FURTHER BROKER’S COMMENTS:

Launched in 2013 as custom commission and following closely in the footsteps of luxury superyacht tender ‘GRACE E’ built for the 73m Perini Navi ‘VITRUVIUS’, GRACE’s hull lines were drawn by renowned UK-based naval architect Andrew Wolstenholme with her custom build by Cockwells in Mylor Bridge, Cornwall; a yard renowned for their construction of the Hardy range of all-weathers motor yachts as well as their hugely popular Duchy range of classically styled luxury motor launches.

While naturally suited to a pampered life as a superyacht tender, GRACE was originally configured to be a hugely capable family ‘Day Launch’, with ample seating for 10-14 persons in her spacious and practical cockpit, with a fully equipped wet-bar and large dedicated heads compartment below decks. Powered by fuel-efficient and reliable twin Yanmar 250hp diesel engines, her slippery Wolstenholme lines can be propelled to speeds approaching 40 knots, while those same lines offer forgiving and surefooted seakeeping.

GRACE’s specification highlights include:-

• CE Category-C

• Andrew Wolstenholme design

• GRP foam core construction with Flagblue Awlgrip topsides finish

• Varnished mahogany top

• Teak laid cockpit sole, aft deck walkthrough, bathing platform and heads cabin

• Twin Yanmar 4LV 250hp diesel inboard engines with Mercruiser Bravo One outdrives and stainless steel propellers

• Quick electric tunnel bowthruster with joystick controls

• Hidden retracting anchoring system

• Garmin GPS chart plotter and VHF with DSC

• Horn

• Fusion Bluetooth stereo system

With just two owners since new, GRACE was acquired by her current owners in 2020. Based in and around West Country for most of her life, and then more recently in the Solent, GRACE has led a very pampered life, always stored undercover and ashore when unused and with very low hours run on her engines. Her gleaming Flagblue Awlgrip topsides hide her hardy and stiff foam core GRP construction, while her timeless varnished mahogany decks are well protected by regularly refinished varnish. GRACE is 100% ‘ready to go’, whether it be a sheltered life living at the end of a private dock in the West Country, cruising around the waters of the French Riviera or Amalfi Coast, carving through the Solent for a fun day out with the family, or following in the footsteps of her older sister as a superyacht tender. GRACE has also been known to find her way onto the silver screen with a recent appearance in the 2024 movie Back in Action in the hands of Hollywood icon Cameron Diaz.

UK-VAT paid, and CE Certified, GRACE is now seriously for sale as her owners are looking to consolidate their sizeable fleet.

MANUFACTURER’S COMMENTS:

Although used as a private day launch, this yacht was based on a superyacht tender design and is similar to the design and build of the 9.5m Owner’s Tender Grace E. But Grace features rich mahogany decks and benefits from a more family-friendly layout with a galley and a large table in the cockpit and a heads in the forepeak. She is powered by twin 250hp Yanmar diesel engines and propelled by outdrive legs.
