Summary

An extraordinary find on TheYachtMarket.com, this elegantly designed, Ted Hood Bristol 40, christened "Venture", is now available for sale. Manufactured in Rhode Island in 1980, Venture boasts a solid build ideal for blue water cruising. Her grandeur is accentuated by a traditional mahogany interior, holly and teak sole, and accommodation for six in three beautifully-orchestrated cabins. Her refit in 2015 equipped her with new sails, rigging, chainplates, and a plethora of other enhancements. Out of the water since 2016, this vessel is as excellent a prospect for restoration as it is for immediate use. In 2015 Venture had a major refit including: new sails 2015, new rigging 2015, new chainplates 2015, and new backing plates 2015, new dinghy davits, seven  new winches, new traveller and vang. Venture has only had two owners. She was hauled out in 2016 in Grenada and has not been in the water since. Her current owner has not been able to visit since Covid and the vessel is being sold ‘As Is, Where Is’.
