Very special late-model X-442 performance cruising yacht with huge bluewater liveaboard inventory and comprehensive program of refit and update in recent seasons.
FURTHER BROKER’S COMMENTS:
Very occasionally we are instructed to sell a boat that ticks almost every possible box as the perfect cruising boat. MAJALA II fits within this rarified category and then some. Starting with her well-proven slippery Niels Jeppesen-designed hull lines and her robust and high-quality Danish construction, we then find a yacht that has been lovingly maintained, very lightly used and continually updated and improved by her owners. It is often said that the perfect brokerage opportunity is a low-depreciating, high-quality cruising yacht, newly refitted and updated and where the owner’s change of plans means that the new owner gets to take on a turnkey, ready-to-go yacht for a fraction of the project cost. This is MAJALA II.

OWNER’S COMMENTS:
We bought MAJALA II (previously named ‘ANANDA’) in October 2022 in Holland from her second owner who had owned her since about 1 to 2 years from her original build as No.86 of 127 launched by X-Yachts between 1993 and 2003. Berthed in freshwater during the summer months (in a freshwater lake leading to the North Sea), MAJALA II was wintered ashore each year.
Continually updated and improved in her second owners, we continued this with a comprehensive program of refit and upgrade from 2022/23 through the winter of 2025/26. Works completed by us in 2022/23 were carried out under the supervision of X-Yachts in Holland and following her relocation to the Mediterranean in spring 2023 via road transport, she was re-rigged in Port Ginesta, Barcelona under the supervision of an X-Yachts-approved rigging contractor.
We then sailed MAJALA II to her home base in Mallorca in spring of 2023, where she has been based since, cruising the Western Mediterranean each summer and then wintering ashore each year on the hard in Alcudia under the professional guardinage of highly regarded Cabe Nautic.
Having now completed the upgrades to create a comfortable, fully equipped and ready-to-go performance cruising yacht, a change in plans has led us in a different direction with our yachting and the planned purchase of a larger yacht. MAJALA II is therefore offered for sale in turn-key condition with the benefit of brand new or very recent systems and upgrades, in particular her brand new Quantum laminate sails which will be supplied unused to her new owner.
MANUFACTURER’S HISTORY:
In 1979, one of today’s most successful and quality orientated production yards was established in Denmark.
During the 1980’s, X-Yachts designed and built winning IOR yachts for World Class Racing. Our success with this market attracted the attention of the cruising market, which was then looking for fast, high quality and comfortable sailing yachts. It seemed very clear to us that we should use our boat building experience from the fast racers and combine this with building high performance cruising yachts.
Throughout the 1990’s, X-Yachts Range of Performance Cruisers was established. The X-412 was the first model in the new line, and was followed by the X-512, X-382, IMX 38, X-442, X-362, X-332, X-302, X-612, X-482 and finally, in 1999, the X-562.
