The Westerly Tempest 31 is a well-built, fast family cruising yacht with good accommodation including two double cabins aft and good performance under power and sail. This example has unfortunately seen some neglect and is in need of new and loving ownership.

Accommodation
The accommodation offers up to seven berths with two aft double cabins. The separate heads compartment is in the bow, with a sea toilet to port and washbasin to starboard side. Moving into the saloon, there is a dinette to port and settee berth to starboard with double folding leaf table between. Stowage under the berths, lockers at eye level with shelving above. The L shaped galley is to starboard and has a gas cooker with grill and oven plus a sink and top loading fridge. Plenty of dedicated crockery stowage plus drawers and lockers. Opposite the galley to port is the outboard facing chart table with fold out navigation seat and switch panels. There are two symmetric double aft cabins with shelving and lockers.
Mechanical Systems
Located under the companionway is believed to be the Volvo Penta 2002, 18hp marine diesel engine. Fresh water cooled. Shaft drive to two blade fixed propeller. Rope cutter to shaft. Single lever engine controls. Stainless steel fuel tank of 72 litre capacity. Condition of engine unknown.

Built by Westerly Yachts Ltd to Ed Dubois design. White grp coach roof with painted decks. White grp hull with style stripes. Self-draining anchor well and cockpit. Tiller steering to a spade hung rudder. Teak hand and tow rails plus rubbing strakes.
