“For Sale, Scorpion 975 Rib.
A very well specced and cared for example of this most excellent offshore rib from the UK Scorpion brand. Built by Scorpion and rigged here in Abersoch with twin Yamaha V6 300hp outboards this is an iconic Abersoch boat which turns heads wherever it goes.
Built and commissioned by us here at the boatyard the rib was specced with a great nav suite including Humminbird side imaging sonar and plotter, VHF and a Fusion stereo system (due for renewal) along with a Yamaha digital display unit (replaced 2024) you have all the info you need within easy reach of the helm.
Tubes are original and present in great order with no scuffs or marks evident. The boat has been on our Park & Launch service since new and has not sat on a marina berth.
The layout comprises a bow sun pad which includes a backrest to convert to seating, a suicide seat on the front of the console, driver and navigator jockey seats with winged backrests along with further jockey seating for four adults. There is also a roomy rear wraparound bench seat.
The upholstery was updated and renewed a few years ago and is all in good order. Console and seat covers are included and in good order. There is a substantial stainless A frame aft of the rear seating which carries a water sports tow point and VHF aerial. The deck is laid with flexiteak which is in good order.
There is a large bow locker and a cavernous locker under the rear seating along with lockers under the console and jockey seating which means there is plenty of space for all your boating goodies.
The twin Yamaha V6 300hp engines have been well maintained and have around 450 hours on them. Last serviced at the end of the 2024 season to include plugs, engine oils and filters, gear oils and fuel filters including both VST filters. Steering is through a Seastar electro-hydraulic system which was renewed in 2023. There are also a set of Lenco trim tabs on the transom allowing you to trim the boat perfectly.
The boat sits on an SBS twin axle bunk trailer specced for the boat when new. It is suitable for launching rather than road use.
There is a large overall winter cover included which is in good order.
In conclusion this is a great, one owner rib, capable of "quick" trips to Ireland for a pint of Guinness. It is just as well suited to loading up with friends and family and heading out for a day of picnicing and water sports. The reliable engines suit the boat well and offer a great turn of speed when required without costing a fortune to run.
It is presented in very good original order and is ready for its next adventure with a new owner.”
