NAUTOR SWAN Nautor Swan 65 Zu verkaufen (1982) in Saint-Tropez, Frankreich

Like all S&S Swan 65’s EVRIKA has an interesting story. But she is also a particularly special example of this legendary sailing yacht design. She is one the later examples built, hull 036 of the 041 built, and was delivered new in 1982. Many things set her apart and please read her specifications – apart from the many works made in recent years, she has had an interesting ownership and sailing history – with only four owners to now.

Construction

RCD Status: Our understanding is that the yacht is exempt from the essential safety requirements of Directive 94/25EC (Recreational Craft Directive) as she was built and placed into use within the EU prior to 1998.

Hull, Deck & Superstructure Construction:

• GRP solid laminate hull; painted in Awlgrip Off White with Empress Blue style lines 2012. 
• GRP superstructure, painted in Awlgrip Off White (Awlcraft 2000 incl. clear coat) with Empress Blue style line, 2019.
• GRP, teak laid deck replaced in 2019-20 by Moody Decking in 12mm teak with TDS caulking.
• Teak and stainless steel external trim.
• Full osmosis treatment, including re-lamination, epoxying and fairing (2015).
• Coppercoat to underwater hull – 2019 (this had reactivation work in Spring 2025).
• Anchor locker is a watertight bulkhead.

Keel & Rudder:

• Bolted lead keel.
• Skeg hung rudder.

Machinery

Engine & Gearboxes:

• 1 x Yanmar 4LHA-THE 140hp diesel – 2000, reconditioned in 2012.
• Velvet Drive gearbox – model 10-18-010 with a ratio of 2.57:1 – 2000.
• MaxProp 3-bladed propeller.

Maintenance & Performance:

• Serviced in accordance with manufacturers recommendations.
• Engine hours: circa 7,970 at May 2025 (5,070 on clock + 2,900 from before).
• Drive water pump replaced 2019.
• Turbo and injectors were replaced 2023.
• Inlet seacock replaced 2022 with Perko strainer.
• Full engine service and overhaul, incl. new solenoids 2024.
• Cruising speed: 6.5 knots.
• Maximum speed: 8.5 knots.
• Cruising range: 1,000 nautical miles.

Propulsion & Steering:

• Side-Power SRP 170/250 TC 24V retractable bow thruster with separate batteries – 2019.

Electrical Systems

Voltage Systems:

• 24v Primary AC system is charted either by the main engine alternator or via the Victron Skylla-i charger.
• 220v and 110v AC throughout ship.

Battery Banks:

• 3 x 12v batteries wired in parallel for engine start (2 x Vaarta) and generator start (1) in a separated battery box.
• 8 x Victron Energy AGM 12v 165amh batteries for the house bank wired in series to deliver 660AH at 24v, from 2016/19.
• House bank in a dedicated and sealed battery box.
• 2 x 12v batteries in parallel for the bowthruster and windlass.

Battery Chargers:

• Victron Energy Phoenix Multiplus inverter / charger, 24v / 3000 VA / 79 Amp.
• Victron Energy battery charger Skylla-l, 24v / 100 A.
• Victron Energy blue power charger 12/25 for start batteries.

Alternators:

• 24v 175 Amps and 12v alternators, both reconditioned 2019.
• 24v regulator.

Generator:

• Fischer Panda 10000i generator – 2020, in warranty until 2025.
• iControl panel – 2021.
• Generator hours: 520 at April 2025.

Shore Power:

• 220v shore power connection and ring main.

Plumbing Systems

Fresh Water & Water Heating System:

• Xcaliber XR124, 24v water pressure system 2021.
• Sigmar marine calorifier B040, 40 litres, 800W, 8/12. Electric heating resistance – new 2025.
• Cockpit shower with connection for deck wash.

Watermaker:

• Spectra Newport 400 MPC-5000 Mk II watermaker – 2012. Booster pump module replaced 2022, with control at chart table.
• Aquabase unit 24V new 2021, with control in locker aft of nav seat.

Bilge Pumps:

• 2 x electric bilge pumps.
• 2 x manual bilge pumps.

Tankage

Fuel:

• Total fuel capacity of 1,000 litres (220 gallons) in 4 x stainless steel tanks, with crossover valves.
• Each tank holds 250 litres.
• All cleaned 2024.

Fresh Water:

• Total water capacity of 1,500 litres (330 gallons) in 4 x stainless steel tanks, with crossover valves.
• 2 x outboard tanks hold 350 litres each.
• 2 x inboard tanks hold 275 litres each.
• 1 x galley tank holds 250 litres.
• Galley foot pump (saltwater).

Gas:

• Full gas installation – new 2008.
