KI-generierte Zusammenfassung

"Denali 3" is a Ker 46+ built by McConaghy Boats. First launched in 2018 she is the third generation Ker 46 design and the newest 46 out there.
An incredibly high spec boat from the very start, incorporating a low drag, high-volume bow design, top level Harken deck gear with twin ped's, FULL North Sails suite and a custom Southern Spars mast and boom package to name but few of the optional extras.

Still with her first owner, she has been campaigned without compromise both inshore and offshore and is a real stand out performer across a range of conditions and indeed rating rules.
Predominantly raced under ORCi since launching, however we know sisterships also thrive under IRC and her 2025 cert shows she is aligned.

A very exciting prospect for someone looking at serious, grand prix racing, but perhaps without the crew and budget limitations that a TP52 or similar can carry.

Denali 3 is fitted with 2 spreader mast tube that allows reefing (3) capability for offshore.

She is fitted with EC6 standing rigging (in service) that was new in 2019. Original set also included.

The mast and boom package on Denail has been designed to excel in reaching conditions, where the boat can win time against her main rivals, the TP52's

Without compromising upwind performance, the mast geometries were setup to carry a wider selection of reaching sails and thus she is configured with a 15/16th's style rig, that also promoted the use of a J0 sail.

Twin EC6 running backstays also facilitate a square top mainsail with the fitment of a deflector system for better trim control and forestay tension.

A grand prix running rigging package is also supplied with the boat, including extensive older spares.

Mainsail, Masthead spin (x2), Fractional and Jib halyard locks included.

Genoa staysail halyard conventional.

Denali is also fitted with the following upgrades;

Reaching strut

Gorilla headfoil system

Custom mast instrument bracket

Hydraulic internal mast jacking system

Adjustable mast base

Low profile boom and vang fittings

Antal mast track system

Autoclaved carbon bowsprit with fixed bobstay

Broker comments

Denali 3 is a superb racer that has given so much to the owner.

Close to a full custom build, she has benefitted from all the Ker 46 design feedback that went before her and allowed the team to implement small changes throughout all areas of the boat, that has really helped push those final percentage performance points.

We know from time, that these boats are just so capable in almost all weather and although this owner has developed the boat for ORCi and ORR racing, it wont take a lot to put her back into a full IRC mode either and could no doubt be a top RORC contender too.

An exciting opportunity for any serious campaigners out there.

Denali is a 2018 Ker 46+, built by McConaghy Boats China and designed by British designer, Jason Ker.

The build was project managed by Wade Morgan and built at McConaghy Boats, as with all other highly successful Ker 46 designs.

Wade was instrumental in turning this boat out at the very highest level, with almost every box ticked, ensuring she stood the test of time and conditions.

The 46+ design is the 3rd evolution of the highly successful prototype (Tonnerre) and the mk1 designed Ker 46, of which 4 yachts were built and campaigned since 2010 achieving huge success across all walks of racing.

Denali is hull #2 of the 46+ design and incorporates several updates from the first 46+ build, the most noticeable being her low area, higher volume bow section.

Full carbon/foam construction, with pre-preg and vacuum consolidation, she is a full grand prix level build, that has proven herself during the last 6 years of campaigning.

Currently optimized with ORCi in mind, but even in this configuration she rates almost identical to IRC optimized boats, so we feel the change of setup is only minor.
