This is a well equipped Twin-Keeled example of the Legend 33 model built by Luhrs Marine in the UK.

The Legend 33 offers an impressive amount of accommodation space for a 33 foot yacht with a roomy and homely saloon & galley area, & two double cabins.

She features an unobstructed ‘family friendly’ cockpit area with the mainsheet mounted on a substantial overhead arch and like all Legends, she has the backstay less B&R rig giving simple and efficient sail handling.

This yacht has received some significant renewals and updating in recent years with new standing rigging, replacement saildrive seal, new Raymarine chart plotter & Doppler Radar, and an electrical system upgrade & overhaul.

Accommodation

6 to 7 berths in 2 double cabins plus saloon berths.

The cockpit layout allows the companionway threshold to be minimised and the wide step unit inside is designed to provide relatively easy access down to the accommodation spaces, where a very welcoming large main saloon is finished in teak with teak and holly-style laminate flooring and blinds to all windows, supplemented by blinds to the overhead skylights, providing a diffused light and privacy.

Forecabin: Double Vee berth, Hanging locker to port and shelved locker to starboard Overhead opening deck hatch.

Saloon: U shaped seating area to port around a drop leaf saloon table, straight settee berth to starboard with chart table at aft end. Saloon table converts to double berth with an infilling cushion. A Phillips 30” 240v flat-screen TV is fitted above the starboard berth and will remain with the vessel. Glomax TV Antenna. Ample storage bins outboard of both berths, with a bottle storage rack provided on port side. Fixed and opening roof hatches giving good levels of natural light and ventilation.

Galley: U Shaped galley area to port with Corian type worktop surface, stainless steel sink with H&C Pressurised water supply. 2 burner gimballed Eno gas cooker with oven, opening portlight over. Front opening refrigerator. Voluminous storage locker that genuinely accommodates a generous amount of stores and an inset deep gash bin provision in the counter top with sensible provision for domestic cleaning materials provided; ample closed storage lockers within under side-deck area

Heads compartment: Midships heads compartment to starboard side, Jabsco Sea toilet, basin with H&C pressurised water supply and shower fitting.

Custom made varnished teak slatted floor grating

Aft Cabin: Large, transverse double berth; large 3 hanging locker with adjacent shelved locker. Good light values with fixed hull port, opening portlight to coach roof side and screened escape hatch to cockpit over the head of the berth.

Mechanical and Electrical Systems

Engine: Fitted with a Yanmar 3YM30 29hp 3 cylinder naturally aspirated diesel fitted to a Yanmar SD20 sail drive unit, driving a three-bladed fixed propeller.

Current engine hours: approx. 1915 hours from new

Saildrive gasket was replaced in 2020.

As a precaution, a fuel tank inspection hatch was fitted along with a custom designed fuel scavenging/Bypass system just in case contaminated fuel supply & a blocked primary fuel filter is experienced.

Electrical: The electrical systems have been updated with two heavy duty AGM domestic batteries (total 200ah) switched through a rotary selector switch. Separate 105 A/hr engine cranking battery.

Charging is by engine-mounted alternator and a Victron Orion TR Smart DC-DC Charger.
