The Hardy Fishing 24 (Extended Wheelhouse). Hardy Marine are an iconic British brand who've been building quality, purposeful sea-kindly boats since 1976.
The extended wheelhouse version of the popular Hardy 24 gives the boat much more scope, having two extra berths and a larger more comfortable interior for family use. The deep safe aft cockpit is ideal for fishing too.
Javea has the benefit of a bow thruster too!

The Hardy Fishing 24 with Extended Wheelhouse is a popular multipurpose boat that is renowned for its seakeeping qualities. The extended wheelhouse gives more shelter and there is a lower forward cabin which sleeps 2 and a convertible double in the wheelhouse.
Externally there is good deck space aft. The engine cover doubles as seating. The wheelhouse is walk round either side.
Hull, deck & Superstructure
- White GRP hull in original gelcoat with Hardy top stripe (blue) and rope fendering.
- White GRP superstructure.
- Original Hardy rope fendering.
- Light grey deck paint.
- Underwater hull professionally stripped back to the original Hardy Marine gelcoat in 2023 and then epoxy coated prior to being antifouled.
- 2024, fresh Black antifouling paint applied April 2024.
Build spec for the techies
GRP, initial lay-up Lloyds approved isophthalic gelcoat and resin. Subsequent lay-up orthophthalic resin and reinforced with waterproof plywood and Trevira. Hand bonded, resin coated waterproof plywood grid and bulkheads. Solid bonded engine beds with integral plate steel mountings. Foam filled buoyancy chambers under deck for additional safety. Superstructure GRP, with balsa and Trevira reinforcing. Bonded and encapsulated waterproof plywood beds and foundations.
Interior & Accommodation
- Upholstery in good condition.
- Blown, warm air heating whilst engine is in operation.

Forecabin
- V berth with infill to create a double berth when required.

Wheelhouse
- Navigators seat to port with stowable chart desk forward.
- The navigators seat folds forward to reveal a manual fresh water sink and an aperture which would house a hob. The gas hob has been removed. There is also storage there.
- The starboard helm seat has chart storage underneath and a locker.
- Aft are two opposing settees which will form a double berth with use of the table as an infill and the seat backrests.
Helm station
- Wooden wheel with hydraulic steering.

Table
- The table has two positions and two functions. It can be fitted in the lower cabin as a table and then utilised to for a double berth or the same up in the wheelhouse where the bench settee's are.

- The deck area is well secured by a stainless steel pulpit, cockpit side rails and stern rail. The stern rail has two wire guard wires which open up to allow access to and from the stern boarding platform.
