Diva 39 – Swedish sailing quality with space and comfort
The Diva 39 was created by the renowned Swedish yard Fabola Boats (later Diva Yachts) and designed by Bernt Lindquist and Peter Ståhle. Built between 1982 and 1989, this model is known for combining Scandinavian design, thoughtful functionality, and excellent sailing characteristics – all at a price where you truly get a lot of boat for your money.
With a length of 11.80 meters and a sleek, well-balanced hull, the Diva 39 offers a dynamic sailing experience – the boat responds precisely and accelerates easily, even in light wind. This is thanks in part to its generous sail area and a relatively light displacement (5,000 kg) with a high ballast ratio (46%), providing both speed and stability. It's a boat that performs well for both cruising and racing.
The interior is spacious for its time. There are six proper berths divided among three separate cabins, making it ideal for longer trips with family or friends. The saloon features two longitudinal sofas with a central dining area. Midships, you'll also find a practical galley with a gas stove, sink, and ample storage – perfect for cooking at sea or in the harbor.
The well-proportioned cockpit offers ample space for both handling under sail and relaxing at anchor or in port. The tiller provides a direct and responsive feel, and everything is laid out so that the boat can be easily sailed singlehanded. The Diva 39 is designed to be handled by a small crew while still offering space and comfort for more.
The Diva 39 is a strong choice for the quality-conscious sailor seeking space, performance, and reliability – without compromising on style or sailing ability.
