The Mirage 28 was a very popular twin-keel family cruiser for the East Coast from the 1970s. The design of the interior utilises the available space very well. The boat benefits from 6ft headroom in the saloon. Five adults can be easily accommodated around the saloon table. The cockpit offers good protection and the boat can be easily sailed short-handed. The gel coat of the hull was repainted in 2018. The boat was last surveyed in 2010. The yacht does require some internal cosmetic work but benefits from a 2007 engine with only 301 hours. The yacht has been ashore due to the owner's poor health since 2017 and is being sold as seen.
Accommodation :
The Mirage 28 offers 5 berths, 3 singles in an open plan layout in the saloon plus two additional single vee berths in the forward cabin.
The saloon has a folding table with seating for 5 adults. The saloon has red cloth cushions and 6ft headroom. Forward is a Heads compartment with a marine toilet and hot and cold water wash basin.
The Galley has a single sink, with electrically pumped hot and cold freshwater heated via a gas boiler, a gimballed 2-burner cooker with oven and grill, and an assortment of crockery and cutlery.
There is a chart table to starboard with an array of navigation instruments and storage for charts and pilot books. There is a gas heater below the chart table. There is also a quarter berth to Port.
The companionway steps lead up to a large cockpit for the size of the yacht with a large storage locker.

History and Construction The Mirage 28 MK1 was built by Thames Marine and designed by Walsh/Wakefield. It has a red-painted GRP hull in good condition that just needs a polish. White deck and superstructure with non-slip decks. It has a twin keel with tiller steering and with a spade rudder.
Trilogy has been owned by the current owner since 2017, previous owner had her for five years. She has been ashore since she was purchased due to the owner's poor health. Internally she needs some work on the headlinings. The yacht is being sold as seen. Owner open to offers for a quick sale.

This Mirage 28 has a deck-stepped aluminium mast, boom, and spinnaker pole. It has a slab reefing mainsail and roller furling foresail. Stainless steel standing rigging, age unknown, and terylene running rigging.

Mechanical Systems:
Located under the cockpit sole is a 2007 Nanni 3.75HE 21hp three-cylinder diesel engine, raw water cooled, that has completed 301.5 hours as of 22nd May 2024. The engine was last serviced in 2014.
The engine has hardly been used since the service but has recently been run. Single lever controls with electric start. Shaft drive to a three-blade fixed prop. It has a 30-litre stainless steel fuel tank. An engine service kit has been purchased ready for the new owner. There is a box of spares including anodes and gaskets.
Electrical Systems:
This Mirage 28 is fitted with 2 x 12v batteries, (1 x domestic and 1 x engine) charging from the engine alternator.
