Laksfors III is a Historic race-boat that competed in the 1971 Cowes-Torquay-Cowes race.
One owner in period and since then only in one family.
In 1970, before VAT was introduced, this boat was built by W A Souter & Sons in Cowes, Isle of Wight, England using their famed cold-moulded technique to a Ray Hunt design for Mr William Govett.
This is a turn-key opportunity.
Now powered by twin 6 cylinder Yanmar turbo-charged diesel engines driving RTS drive-legs: About 345 hours since major over-haul of each engine. (Originally the power units were two Mercruisers, each of 325 hp).

Broker's Comments
In the golden era of British power-boats in the '60s and early '70s there were several yards making production twin-engined power-boats.
For discerning clients, W A Souter made not only race-winning boats but also finished them to a very high standard.
'Lakfors III'is one such power-boat, more 'Bentley' than 'Jaguar' if you will.
This Ray Hunt design is well-known in the classic boat fraternity.
Purchased by the Owner's father in 1984 from the original owner, much recent work and affection has been lavished on this craft, now powered by twin Yanmar straight 6 cylinder turbo diesel engines of 315 hp each.
