The Motiva 39S is a proven blue water cruiser, renowned for its sturdy steel construction and seaworthy design. Designed by Arne Borghegn, it features a deep hull, long keel, and heavy displacement, offering excellent stability and comfort in offshore conditions. The pilothouse design provides protection and visibility in rough weather, while generous tankage supports extended voyages. With its slutter rig and manageable sail plan, it’s ideal for short-handed sailing. The Motiva 39S combines Scandinavian craftsmanship with practical ocean-cruising features, making it a reliable and safe choice for sailors seeking long-distance adventures with durability, comfort, and self-sufficiency in mind.

Owners comments
Peace of Mind is a thoroughbred cruising yacht, immensely strong and craftsman-built in Danish steel and mahogany joinery. She is regularly mistaken for a Halberg Rassy, but we love her central pilot house for safety in all weathers, and her steel-built comfort which gives a smooth motion at sea on extended passage-making. We have sailed her through all parts of the Channel and the Mediterranean, and recommend her as fully equipped for single-handed sailing, and long-term periods of living on board. Ideal for a crew of 2+2, but with berths and generous storage capacity for up to 8. She has benefited from extensive refits in Turkey in 2012 and the UK in 2024. The asking price reflects the possibility of EU VAT, should that be required.
