Boat Details

The Dehler 29 is equallysuccessful as a family cruiser and round-the-cans racer, the 29s snub bow andchopped-off transom make the most of available waterline length and hence speedpotential. A knife-like bow helps her slicing to windward, flared topsidesprovide plenty of reserve buoyancy and the narrow waterline beam makes herslippery in light airs. The keel is a deep blade with most of its ballastcarried in a torpedo shaped bulb. The powerful 7/8 fractional rig rewardstweaking and tacks through 65 degrees, but she is easily handled and stands up to hercanvas well.
