The Amel 50' is a phenomenon - the first of a new series of Amels - there are around 100 hulls cruising. MAMITA is a very highly specified member of the fleet and has been beautifully maintained. She has everything that you need for both Mediterranean and northern waters cruising and she is VAT paid both in the EU and the UK. With 3 generous sleeping cabins, and a lovely main saloon, she also has a comfortable, protected cockpit for long distance sailing. MAMITA is perfect for bluewater cruising two handed. In this ownership she has sailed both in northern Europe and in the Mediterranean and has provided comfortable and trouble free passages. She is wonderfully comfortable for living aboard.

Construction

RCD Status: The yacht conforms with the essential safety requirements of Directive 94/25EC or RCDII (2013/53/EU as appropriate (Recreational Craft Directive) and is categorised A – “Ocean”

Hull, Deck & Superstructure Construction:

• Laminated fibreglass construction. AMEL resin infused GRP process with foam core above waterline level.
• Topsides painted white.
• Watertight bulkhead/comparts with watertight bulkheads and watertight doors as is standard on Amel 50. There are 5 x separate watertight sections – forward lazarette, forward cabin, saloon, aft cabin and aft lazarette.
• The engine/technical equipment room is self-contained and accessed directly from the cockpit.

Keel & Rudder:

• Bolted Lead Keel, 5.36Te, 2.15m draft.
• Twin rudder with wheel steering, operated via push/pull cable system.
• Emergency tiller.
