We are pleased to offer for sale this J-Craft 6.8m RIB, built in Portsmouth and originally commissioned in 2007 and which has been extensively overhauled by the current owners. Between 2020 and 2023 the overhaul included: electronics in 2020, 2018 Mercury 225hp V6 fitted 2021, full rebuild / retube in 2023. We have photographs to show the extent that the vendors went to, to update this RIB and they get 10 out of 10 for effort! The boat was taken back to just the hull – old tubes removed, electrics removed, fuel tank removed, seating removed, console removed, even the elephant trunk was removed! It was then carefully and professionally rebuilt (see below for details) and put back together over about 6 months. In 25 years, we’ve never seen any boat owner go to this much effort to renew a RIB.
This RIB has been set up for fast but efficient cruising (17-27kts at 0.85l / mile), and it has plenty of storage and comfortable seating for up to 8 people. She is as much at home as a family RIB or for more serious boating adventures.
