The Hunter Horizon 272 is an excellent family cruiser, balancing ample accommodation whilst maintaining well thought of sailing performance. Benefiting from a twin keel design she really is at home on the shallow East coast exploring rivers and inland water ways. Accommodation
The accommodation offers 5/6 berths in two cabins with excellent headroom. V berth forward with stowage under and a fold out extension. U-shaped dinette with fixed table with drop leaves. Chart table to port with television and galley opposite. Plastimo Atlantic two burner gimballed gas cooker with grill and oven. Stainless steel sink. Cool box and a 12v WAECO fridge/freezer. Separate heads compartment with Jabsco marine toilet and moulded wash basin. Manually pumped cold freshwater supply to sink and wash basin. Hanging locker. Aft cabin with double berth. Blue cloth upholstery. Diesel fired heating system.
Mechanical Systems
She has a Yanmar 1GM10, single cylinder, 9hp diesel engine. Sea water cooled. Single lever engine control with electric start. Shaft drive via P-bracket to fixed three-blade propeller.

Built by Hunter Boats in 1992 to a design by David Thomas. White GRP hull, decks and superstructure. Twin bilge keels. Tiller steering to spade hung rudder. Stainless steel push and pulpit with safety lines around the decks. Sugar scoop transom with boarding steps.
