Construction

RCD Status: The yacht conforms with the essential safety requirements of Directive 94/25EC or RCDII (2013/53/EU as appropriate (Recreational Craft Directive) and is categorised Cat B – “Offshore” for 10 persons on board.

Hull, Deck & Superstructure Construction:

• Windy are a product of traditional craftsmanship, enhanced with the aid of modern technology. The latest technological innovation is the Wintec hull concept, which gives improved performance, greater strength and reduced noise throughout the vessel. 
• The hull is reinforced with advanced multi axial glass fibre matting and Divinycell. This allows a reduction in the boats weight of up to 20% whilst offering noticeably improved stability.
• Teak laid decking in the cockpit.
• Teak laid decking on the bathing platform.
• Teak laid to side decks.
• Coppercoat antifoul to hull (now antifouled over).

Machinery

Engine & Gearboxes:

• 2 x Volvo Penta D4-260 (260HP) supercharged and turbo-charged diesel engines, with charge air cooler.
• 3.7 litre, in-line 4 cylinder, common-rail, Very Low Emission engine.
• Crankshaft power 260 hp at 3,500 rpm.
• Max. torque 615 Nm at 2,000 rpm.
• Volvo Penta DPH sterndrives.
• Engine compartment has storage space forward (eg. for generator, outboard, dinghy, etc.).
