Very neat Oyster 485 Deck Saloon (1996) from First Owner, EU-VAT paid (Germany), with perfect documentation and service history.
When commissioning this boat from the renowned OYSTER shipyard, which is known for its high-quality production of blue water yachts, the owner imported german cherry as part of the personalization for the interior and had the mast raised by one meter to increase the sail area of the in-mast-furling mainsail to now 48sqm / 520sqft and that of the genoa sail to 65sqm / 705sqft. All sails were replaced in 2016 - the existing storm jib with approx. 12sqm / 126sqft is still unused - and are operated by a total of 5 Harken winches, 3 of which are electrically operated.
In addition to the fully functional navigation electronics (partly original, partly replaced), the equipment includes a 5kVa Onan generator, air conditioning (hot / cold), TV with DVB-T antenna, bow thruster, electric windlass with stainless steel anchor and stainless steel chain, gangway, life raft (6 people) and a tender (2.4m) with a Yamaha 2.5 outboard motor. The additional equipment on board, such as the second anchor and a spare propeller, is also included in the offer.
The fuel and water tanks (550l / 750l) are read by a tank sensor on the chart table and are made of GRP / laminated below the hallway plates in the saloon. A black water tank (currently not connected and still unused) with a capacity of approx. 100l is installed on the port side in the closet of the bow cabin, which means that this boat complies with EU standards. This Oyster 485 is powered by a Yanmar diesel engine of the type 4JH2-DTE with 88 HP by means of a shaft drive and 3-blade MaxProp (feathering).
Divided into 3 cabins with 2 berths each and 2 fully equipped bathrooms, up to 6 guests can be comfortably accommodated under deck, even on long voyages. The kitchen is functional and offers, in addition to a large countertop for kitchen appliances, a sink, a gas stove / gas oven as well as a refrigerator (approx. 60l) and freezer (approx. 140l). The saloon impresses with its high ceiling height and the all-round recessed deck windows, which make staying “below deck” very pleasant, even for a long time.
The owner lifts annually to have the underwater hull and the engine serviced, last in June 2025. Due to the constant maintenance work on all systems, the boat is in overall good - very good condition, viewings are highly recommended.
