Designed by German Frers, over 400 examples of the Hallberg-Rassy 34 were built. The popularity of the design is understandable, given the quality of the accommodation, sailing ability and ease of handling.
The design features an efficient fin keel and a powerful, easy-to-handle fractional rig. This combination gives it impressive performance, while down below, the Scandinavian craftsmanship immediately stands out, with a surprisingly roomy and light interior for a yacht of this size. The Hallberg-Rassy 34 is ideal for coastal cruising in comfort, but also has proven blue-water capability.
‘Moon Wrasse’ is a very nice example, which has been lovingly maintained by the current owners, with recent upgrades including a new mainsail, diesel heater and instrumentation.
